This one-semester course is an introduction to computer studies using a variety of application software. Students will learn how to use the computer as a learning tool, both for education in high school and college and also as essential skills for the workplace. Students will research a topic, such as a future career, and set goals while creating artifacts using a computer.

Students will benefit from taking this course by increasing their typing skills and becoming familiar with using a computer for accessing information and school assignments. They will become proficient at using the computer as a learning tool for their education and beyond. They will also learn how technology skills can be used in a variety of careers.
